Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

I don’t think I need to say more than that! The texture, taste, and smoothness of this frosting are a couple of the reasons this chocolate cream cheese frosting is one of my favorites. This is a quick, and easy frosting to whip up to add to a last-minute dessert.

Clean up for this frosting is super simple, it is all mixed in one mixing bowl and can be spread onto cake, cookies, or cupcakes using a knife, or a piping bag. I like to use a piping bag it makes clean-up a lot faster. I like to use my Bosh mixer, it works wonderfully to mix this thicker frosting together.

To start off this Chocolate Cream Cheese frosting you are going to soften your butter when your butter has been softened add it and your cream cheese to your mixer. Mix until combined.

Once your butter and cream cheese have been mixed together add in the vanilla, powder sugar, and cocoa powder and mix for 2 minutes, or until smooth.

Once all the ingredients have all been combined together until the frosting is smooth and creamy, top it to any dessert!

I love to use this frosting for our double chocolate cupcakes! It adds the perfect creaminess, and extra chocolate flavor to the cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Softened butter
  • 4 C. Powder sugar
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese 
  • 2 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla 

Instructions

  1. In to a mixer add in the softened butter and cream cheese and mix together until combined.
  2. Once the butter and cream cheese have been mixed add in the vanilla, powder sugar and Hershey's cocoa powder and mix for 2 minutes or until smooth.
  3. Add to your dessert and enjoy
